STACEY O’BRIEN

“What if animals are as intelligent in their own way, and as emotionally complex and deep as we are? We may be right on the cusp of a whole new way of seeing animals and understanding them. We’re finally starting to see that the intelligent life we’ve been searching for on other planets is living right here among us, and we have so much to learn from them!”

STACEY O’BRIEN is trained as a biologist specializing in wild animal behavior. She graduated from Occidental College with a BS in biology and continued her education at the California Institute of Technology.

O’Brien now works as a wildlife rescuer and rehabilitation expert with a variety of local animals, including the endangered brown pelican, owls, seabirds, possums, and songbirds. She lives in California.
